Make a big-deal date with your significant other.Tell them you're big night out will start with a reserved table at White Castle.Watch the reaction.(PS: You can bail yourself out by saying that you couldn't get reservations at the McDonalds drive-through.)
AHA!!! Okay, so the Canadian is culturally ignorant, not stupid. *THAT* I can live with.We don't have that chain here in the great white north! Thanks for easing my confusion.Gary
Aha, Canadian. Not culturally ignorant, but perhaps innocent. (I didn't know what a Tim Horton's was until a few years ago.)White Castle is a gastronomic treat beloved by cardiologists everywhere.Their burgers are known colloquially as "sliders." That tells you all you need to know.
"Not culturally ignorant, but perhaps innocent."Nearing 50 and having worked in the welfare department for around 25 of those years, "innocence" is not an adjective I would have chosen for myself. Having said that, I think I'll take that! :-)
