"High Dynamic Range Photographs" (explanation: http://bit.ly/IFVP) produce painterly effects from real-world scenes. Some gorgeous examples in this collection.
Thanks for this. You will probably get a lot of viewers who say they "don't like HDR" and the photo of the train is probably what they dont like with its "grunge" look. However if you look through all the photos there is one with a chair next to a window. To me, and many others, this is what HDR is really about. If you were there that is what you would see because your eye is capable of the total dynamic range, but your camera isn't. So HDR can reproduce what your eyes thought they saw. Tks
