April in New Hampshire

It snowed all day yesterday. It was strange to see snow in the air, all day long.

April is a hybrid month here: On wet days, March is in the air, but May is on the ground.

Like this, outside my door at dusk last night:

It was warm enough that the snow melted almost immediately; there was no accumulation. But still: snow, all day long.

On the next sunny day, the seasonal polarity will reverse: It will be May above, March below.

And that will be nice, too.
