This is Apple's nightmare.

PCWorld: "Macs Hit by Backdoor Attack"

This is Apple's nightmare. For years, they've exploited the happy niche they were in; small enough to play the underdog and do their own thing; yet not big enough to have to worry about being a major hack-target; about compatibility; or about antitrust.

Now, that's changing. Apple is entering the arena Microsoft had to face --- and messed up in --- in the mid 90's.

Hello, hackers! Hello, mass-market issues. And in a while: Hello, Department of Justice.

Apple's Jobs-delayed adolescence is finally ending. And it's about freaking time.

It's in Intego's interest to make money.
That said, I don't think the time has come just yet - maybe later. But I "knew" that when Apple first came out with Intel based machines. That's the carrot - Microsoft is the stick.
