Microsoft Windows 3.0 Is 20 Years Today

"Some say that the Windows 3.0 GUI (remember, it needed MS-DOS/DR-DOS to work) was the single most important version as it allowed Microsoft to get its day. The first truly successful Windows operating system is twenty years old today; Windows 3.0 was launched on the 22nd of May 1990 and was the successor to Windows 2.1x."

  1. I remember Windows 3.0 but I liked the Windows for Workgroups version better.

  2. Do you remember version 2? Used it very briefly before going to 3.11. Life was less technical then.
