Palin Fans Deface Paul Revere Wikipedia Page - Slashdot

An anonymous reader writes "Fans of Sarah Palin were found to be changing the article on Paul Revere to make it fit their idol's view that Paul Revere was not warning the American colonists that the British were coming, but rather warning the British were not 'going to taking away our [guns]'."

  1. So when the NH AG's office announces it's going to confiscate your computers because you're not "properly licensed" to use the internets (and it has concerns about how you're using your free speech rights contrary to government objectives -- nettlesome antiwar screeds, or rants against the approved state budget, or some such), will you yell, "The New Hampshirites are coming! The New Hampshirites are coming!"?

Not sure how one "defaces" Wikipedia with actual history, which even NPR has now been schooled on:

The British Regulars WERE coming for the computer-analogous colonial munitions, which the militias needed for the coming Siege of Boston.

Try this (which is the history that the Appleseed Project uses):

(I have little use for Palin, but just because it's the current popular history doesn't mean it's not "revisionist," itself)
