FBI Said to Investigate News Corp. in Possible Sept. 11 Victim Hacking - Bloomberg

The FBI is examining whether employees of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. (NWSA) tried to hack into the phones of Sept. 11 victims, according to a person familiar with the matter who wasn’t authorized to publicly discuss it.

The report comes after media watchdog groups and elected officials in the U.S. called for an investigation into reports that News Corp.’s News of the World tried to access voice mail of the victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks.
