I didn't care much; I'm not a huge Facebook fan. If I had to shut the account, no big deal.

But it's legit: an entirely other Fred Langa, in South Africa.

The "Langa" name crops up in many Germanic variations (Lang, Lange, Langer, etc.)

Based on the above, I'm guessing there's an Afrikaans version, too.

Oddly, there's also a Langa street in Madrid and a Langa township northwest of that city; and a Langa Langa atoll in the South Pacific.

If there's a connection, I can't see it.

But now, at least I finally have an alibi for everything: It was the *other* Fred Langa that did it.
