If it's interesting and not salaciously voyeuristic, I grab my camera.
Here's some of what's been visible --- nothing profound; just for fun:
Hawk drying its wings in the sun after a rainy night:
Many schools, including the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and the New England School of Photography, are nearby, and some student projects appear on the roofs on a regular basis:
Ordinary things also happen:

Well, you have a very entertaining view, Mr. Fred. It looks like there are a lot of interesting things going on from those rooftops and on the ground. You know, if I had a view like these at all, either at our rooftop or window, I would definitely spend most of my time looking and watch people do different sorts of interesting stuff.

Anyone can do almost anything and everything on a rooftop. The guy taking pictures on the second photo seemed to enjoy taking strange and scenic shots from up there. Those two men on the 9th photo appeared to be talking about serious stuff, and that they were finding a way to help each other out. On the 4th, 5th, and 6th photo, it looks like they are involved with a movie shoot, or construction, or they were just having a good time. Whatever it was, it just shows that rooftops can be the perfect place for an individual or groups of people to think, carry out your passion, take pictures, eat, or feel free and just have a good time.

@Kip: I always take photos whenever I'm on top of a building. It’s nice to capture the random moments; ranging from anything that the people are doing, even if it’s just an old man walking on the street. ;)

Cool photos. Like I would expect a lot of rubber roofing around the city. We are a roofing contractor in Norwood MA and have been doing a lot of rubber roof repairs since Hurricane Sandy swept through. Shingle roofs were also slammed.
ReplyDeleteThe most interesting photo you have up here is the car accident for sure.
