Not out of touch with the gun issue...we know big, bad guns are what little insecure men need. That is why the whack jobs who are committing these crimes are using the weapons they are. The guns are equalizers in their warped minds for their shortcomings. You wouldn't have had 12 dead if he had come into the theater with a baseball bat. You probably would have one, badly beaten whack job! We don't have to ban baseball bats and gas, they have OTHER uses besides killing.

Literally 30 seconds of Google would tell you that but you don't care about facts if you're blaming an inanimate object for the crimes being committed, by a criminal, who clearly doesn't care about laws banning murdering people. Someone should make murder illegal... Oh, wait they already tried that
Some people are incredibly gullible and stupid, the federal assault weapons ban had zero effects on crime which is why it wasn't continued. Actual facts matter here, the "assault weapons" ban didn't ban the AR-15 and banned features like bayonet lugd, compensators, adjustable stocks, and utterly nonsensical cosmetics.
Educate yourself, you might realize how ignorant this idea is about regulating the entire population instead of punishing criminals.
As a Canadian, I think that the NRA folks are worse than communists - they are more like Nazis!
