Time lapse: Voyager 2, as seen from earth, 2010-present

Voyager 2 was launched by NASA on August 20, 1977. After flybys of the gas giants, it headed out towards interstellar space. It's now knock-knock-knocking on the heliosheath door, and should soon follow its twin, Voyager 1, into interstellar space.
