Take the Pew Research Science Literacy Test

A short, 12-question multiple-choice test lets you see how your basic science knowledge stacks up against the general US population; or, at least  against "a nationally representative group of 3,278 randomly selected U.S. adults surveyed online and by mail."

The results were alarming, with the majority of respondents failing to know basic facts about sound, light, and pressure.

All the questions are middle-school or early high-school level. Only 6% got a perfect score.

See how you do: Take the test here (it only takes a minute!), and then read the analysis here.
