Aussie Humor



Yes, it's really pronounced foo-KAY, but it's still a funny sign. :-)

  1. However else it is pronounced, it is not fookay. When I was there (admittedly, 30 years ago) it was poo-ket with the p having a breathy "h" component rather than a hard p.

    Of course, I expect you fully checked your story first and can cite a zillion sources to prove me wrong. But 10 seconds googling found me several sources including this one:
