ReplyDeleteI was troubled by the title of the blog article...who thinks Steve Jobs was a hero? Sure he made a nice looking phone and music player, but that accolade may be better suited to the head designer at Apple. I've heard many rumblings about Steve's "lack" of philanthropy and the fact that Apple has made it very difficult if not impossible for charity apps to collect donations through their mobile devices. Apple products have also added $2B to the US trade deficit and cost roughly 20-40,000 US jobs. Not to bash Apple, but Jobs shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Gates when it comes to charitable efforts and the positive impact on the world that he's made...
